At GetFiveStars we pride ourselves on making the whole flow of reputation development, customer feedback, complaint resolution and online review generation as easy as entering a single email.
But we know that the world doesn’t revolve around us and that some businesses already have email list management capabilities in their email marketing platform or CRM platform and they don’t want to duplicate efforts. We frequently get the question: Do you integrate with (MailChimp, Salesforce, Infusionsoft, ConstantContact or insert your choice of platform)?
The answer? Yes.
Integration of GetFiveStars With Email Marketing & CRM Platforms
While we offer an API for complex integrations, we offer a super simple technique that allows us to integrate with almost every modern email marketing or CRM solution to initiate our reputation development process. If your mail or CRM platform supports personalization through a merge function you can effectively send each individual that you email their own personal URL to leave your location feedback and starts the whole process.
We provide every business location with their own unique URL string to start the feedback process. It can be found at the bottom of the Feedback settings page and looks something like:

While that URL would work in your email campaign, it still requires that the user manually enter their name and email into our system
We can make it easier. In addition we also support personalization of that URL to allow you to append the users first name, last name and email address to the URL so that when they click on that link they are taken directly from your email communication to the feedback page to start the process and those fields are auto filled and hidden from the user making their work easier.
To automate this process in the context of your existing email platform or CRM client simply use the personalization (aka mail merge function) to add the variables from your list for first, last and email to the personalized URL. The URL structure would be:

In the case of MailChimp you would simply replace the XXXX’s with the appropriate field (first name, last name, email address) and depending on the way that your fields are named in the program it would then end up looking like:
The link in the final personalized email sent to clients would, after the variables are added, look like:
The link can then be attached to a graphic and inserted into your existing post sale email or monthly e-newsletter. By adding this button into your email template, content or footer; you can make all of your email communication a possible entry point into your GetFiveStars feedback process.
